But while reading this i was reminded of a game i LOVED as a kid but cannot think of the title to save my life. The game itself was a classic type side scroller. You controlled a single person, your main weapon was a sword that made really cool noises when used. No guns, which i found wierd.

Jul 08, 2008 Would anyone know where i could find a list of side scroll shooters for SNES. There is one I really want to know and i can't remember the name of it.

Your could do an array of acrobatic jumping sequences while killing enemies. You could collect power-ups, IE you can recieve small robots that floated around you, attacking the closest enemy around you. The setting is kinda futuristic, mainly you battle robotic people and creatures.

But the biggest details that i remember was after you die completly, the game would go to a black game over screen and a sinister laugh would bellow out A-HAHAHAHA, enticing you to play more. The title is one word but like i said i cant think of it. Another thing, on the background behind the title above the cabinet, there is a picture of the main character with his sword, bashing an enemy.

Additional Details There was a sequence in the game where your a guy lost at sea with a female character. Your on a raft and start fishing for food but the fish makes you sick. I remember you get power ups where you transform into stronger forms for a short time. One form was made of water or metal (can't remember, looked shiny) and you had big muscles. Theres also a level that takes place in a pyramid.

I thought it was Illusion of Gaia tbut that one is not even a side scroller. The game probably plays alot like Super Adventure Island 2 (The one that was not just a plaformer).

If anyone has an answer that would be awesome.
