The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program's mission is to assist volunteers in finding meaningful volunteer opportunities in which they can share their experience. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of CSS has nearly 3,000 volunteers 55+ at hundreds of nonprofit agencies throughout New York City.

Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP Lowcountry) is a grant-funded Senior Corps project of the Corporation for National and Community Service. Since 1973, its local sponsor has been the Carolina Lowcountry Red Cross Chapter of the Palmetto Region. Its purpose is to engage volunteers 55+ years of age in community needs and solutions in partnership with non-profit volunteer stations in Charleston, Berkeley, Colleton and Dorchester Counties. More than 1,350 Lowcountry RSVP volunteers are active in the work of 115 non profits who are working to tutor children, assist with disasters, build homes, feed the hungry, preserve our natural environment and meet the needs of veterans and families.
